My Personal Journey To Chiropractic Care
"My chiropractic journey started when I was 10 years old playing soccer. I went to hit a ball with my head and something was very wrong. I had
a headache that lasted two days and then off and on for two weeks. Aspirin and other Drugs weren’t helping. My mother decided to take me to
a chiropractor. No one in my family had ever been to a chiropractor and we were a bit skeptical. That changed very soon.
The doctor took some x-rays of my neck and despite my youth it was in bad shape. I had been in the back seat when my parents were in a car wreck a few
months earlier. My parents suffered whiplash but felt that since I was young I would be fine, after all there was nothing wrong with me that they could see.
The x-ray showed that the damage to my spine from the car wreck was never corrected so my spine was out of alignment. As it got worse over time a
routine action (heading a soccer ball) was just enough to trigger a lot of pain. The pain killers did not “cure” anything because the underlying structure (my
spine) was damaged. My chiropractor corrected that damage and my headaches and pain were gone! Soon my whole family was going to
the chiropractor to repair the damage in their spines.
I will always remember that chiropractor, the relief he gave my family and I inspired me to help others in the same way. I used this inspiration to become a
dean’s list student at the University of Arizona, receive dual bachelor of science degrees, and go on to receive my Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer
Chiropractic College where I studied with an emphasis in spinal curve corrective care, auto accident and injury Care, sports therapy, nutrition,
physiotherapy and rehabilitation."
