Doctors Mark and Celeste Salt both treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries, including neck pain, headaches, low back pain, wrist pain, and other injuries to the joints of the body, such as the foot, knee, and shoulder joints.
Both doctors specialize in worker's compensation and personal injury (car accident) cases, and are listed as providers on most insurance plans. A massage therapist is on staff to assist in the overall treatment of the patient.
About Doctor and Staff:
Dr. Mark Salt is the owner and President of Salt Family Chiropractic Inc. Dr. Mark has been a chiropractor for 16 years. He is a diplomat of the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and is licensed by the State of California as a Radiography X-ray Supervisor and Operator.
Dr. Salt graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College-West in 1993. He was the Athletic Director of the College in 1992. Dr. Salt is the Past President of the California Chiropractic Association- San Diego District.
He served two terms as President from 2003-2005, and was named San Diego Chiropractor of the Year in 2003 by the Association. He was named Chiropractor of the Year by the Chula Vista Star-News in 2001.
Dr. Salt uses a variety of techniques in his clinic, including Diversified, Flexion/Distraction, Activator Method, and Thompson drop. His clinic employs 3 massage therapists, 3 Chiropractors, and 2 Chiropractic Assistants. An Acupuncturist also works at the clinic.
Dr. Salt is an active member of the California Chiropractic Association and the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Celeste Salt is a diplomate of the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners. She is licensed by the State of California as a Radiography X-Ray Supervisor and Operator. She did her undergraduate studies in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver , British Columbia . Dr. Salt went to Palmer West Chiropractic College in San Jose , California . She graduated March 1996 with her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. She then moved to San Diego to join her husband, Dr. Mark Salt.
Dr. Salt currently utilizes a variety of techniques including Diversified, Cox Flexion/Distraction, Thompson Drop and Activator methods in her practice.
Dr. Salt runs the Personalized Nutrition Program in the clinic. She has studied under the founding Doctor, Dr. Greg Tefft in Laguna Hills . The Personalized Nutrition Program involves using Hair analysis, which is sent to Trace Elements Inc. Lab in Addison , Texas . They then send a 20 page report explaining 38 minerals in the body, any toxic elements, metabolic type, any diet related symptoms and any future tendencies of diseases. It identifies which foods to increase in the diet and avoid based on your personal biochemical analysis, and metabolic type. Please inquire at the front desk for further details.
Dr. Salt is an active member in the California Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Celeste Salt works part time. The rest of the time she is a busy mom, looking after their son and daughter.
